News from: the Inland Empire Chamber Alliance
The Governor has until October 10, 2021, to sign or veto legislation. A number of bills impacting the business community are before the Governor awaiting action. Below are four bills identified by the IECA Board on which you can quickly send an email to the Governor with your support or opposition.
AB 701: Warehouse Distribution Centers
This bill would subject Southern California’s logistics industry to frivolous litigation based on vague standards and a never-ending presumption of retaliation.
AB 1074: Hotel Employment
This bill will increase operating costs of the lodging industry, threaten small businesses, and represents a significant shift in how the law approaches service contracting.
Email Governor to Veto AB 1074
AB 1261: Greenhouse Gas Incentive Programs
This bill will improve the effectiveness of transportation incentive programs at the California Air Resources Board that are intended to reduce green house gas emissions.
Email Governor to Sign AB 1261
SB 336: COVID-19 Order Notifications
This bill will guarantee that businesses are notified when state and local health officials issue any order or mandatory guidance to combat the spread of COVID-19 in order to comply.
