Established in 1947, the Indio Chamber of Commerce has strong ties to a diverse community.  Indio was formerly referred to as the Hub of the Valley, a Chamber of Commerce slogan made popular in the 1970s.

Indio is the largest city in the valley, with a population of over 90,000 as of the last census.  Indio’s economy is just as diverse as its population, with agriculture spanning the Southern and Eastern boarders, including the international destination Shields Date Garden.  A strong industrial presence cab found at the heart of the city, with a booming retail sector to the North.  Indio continues to attract more activity and growth to its city every year, a living testament to its original nickname.

The Indio Chamber of Commerce is a founding member of the Greater Coachella valley Chamber of Commerce.
