RANCHO MIRAGE, CA – American Outreach Foundation announced today that it has launched a petition to compel Congress to provide financial and scholarship compensation to the families of healthcare personnel who lose their lives to COVID-19.

According to the Centers for Disease Control, while acknowledging that exposure to the virus is high for frontline healthcare personnel, limited information is available about exact numbers of related infections and death. What is known is that legions of selfless individuals are risking their lives every day to provide care and comfort to victims of the deadly virus while putting their own lives in danger. Some are paying the ultimate price.

With the COVID-19 pandemic touching every sector of American life, surviving families must not only grieve the loss of their loved ones, but face real concerns about their very survival in an uncertain future.

American Outreach Foundation, the petition’s sponsor, has a long history of helping those in need. Since 2007, it has enhanced living conditions and offered freedom of mobility to veterans, low-income families and seniors, empowering a sense of well-being and independence. Based in Southern California’s Coachella Valley, the Foundation has advocated tirelessly to provide an improved quality of life for the needy in their community.
