A local boy is fighting for his life, and the community wants to step up and help his family with rising costs associated with his treatment. 4-year-old Jameson Creiglow was diagnosed with Leukemia this past January and has been spending the majority of his time at Loma Linda University Medical Center receiving treatments to manage the disease.
As a result, both of his parents have had to scale back their time at work, and supplemental funding is needed to help offset their costs associated with traveling back and forth to the hospital, general living expenses, as well as costs associated with treatment that are not covered by their insurance.
The event titled “StrongmanJameson” will be held on Saturday, April 17th from 8am to 12pm at Universal Training Center off Market Street in Indio. The superhero-inspired event invites the public to attend with a recommended donation of $30 per person in order to participate. All participants will gather for a socially distanced 15 station outdoor workout, Firetruck pull, Walk-A-Thon, and Guns vs. Hoses event in Jameson’s honor. The event is limited to two hundred participants.
The first 200 donations of $30 or more will receive a commemorative t-shirt honoring the event. Those choosing not to participate in the workout can make donations via Venmo, cash or check.
A food truck/catering sponsor is currently being sought out for the event, as well as organizations wishing to make corporate monetary donations. Parties interested in sponsoring the event are urged to respond no later than Friday, March 5th in order to be included in promotional material for the event.
