The Augustine Band of Cahuilla Indians invites the community to celebrate Earth Day at Temalpakh Farm, its certified organic farm and market, on April 4th. The day will be filled with educational activities, engaging demonstrations, and fun for all ages.
The celebration begins at 9:00 am with a private opening ceremony for elected officials, tribal leaders, and other dignitaries.
From 10:00 am to 12:30 pm, the farm will host field trips for 5th-grade students and their teachers. Reservations are required for school field trips and must be received by March 7th. Interested schools should contact Adrienne Edmondson at aedmondson@temalpakhfarm.com.
The Earth Day celebration will be open to the public from 12:30 pm to 3:00 pm. Attendees can explore educational booths focused on important environmental topics, including renewable energy, waste management, and desert animals. The afternoon will also feature fun and interactive activities, games, and crafts for children and families.
Temalpakh Farm is a testament to the Augustine Band’s commitment to sustainable agriculture and environmental stewardship. This Earth Day celebration is an opportunity to learn more about these efforts and connect with the community.
The Augustine Band of Cahuilla Indians Reservation is nestled in the shadows of the beautiful San Jacinto Mountains, only three miles east of PGA West. Temalpakh Farm Market is the latest addition to the reservation, which includes Augustine Casino, the Augustine Gaming Commission and a three-megawatt solar field run by the Augustine tribal entity.
