News from the Cabazon Band of Mission Indians:

INDIO, CA – The Cabazon Band of Mission Indians will host the XXXV Indio Powwow at the Fantasy Springs Special Event Center in Indio.  The three day event will begin on November 25th at 5PM.  The event will culminate with the “Grand Entry” at 1PM on Sunday.

Tribes from across the United States and Canada will come together to perform dance and song while competing in traditional contest. Visitors will enjoy Native American dancing, drum contests, games and singing. Event visitors can also join dancers in the arena during selected times to participate in a non-competitive dance.  Native American foods will also be featured and available to the public along with Native American merchandise.
