No cost coronavirus tests and flu shots will be offered next week at Bagdouma Park parking lot at Frederick Street near Avenue 51, Coachella officials announced Thursday.
The testing and flu shot drive-thru/walk-thru event, scheduled for Nov. 9 and Nov. 10, is being organized by the Central Neighborhood Health Foundation in partnership with the City of Coachella.
Get covid tested, or get a flu shot, at no cost to you.
The California Department of Public Health downgraded Riverside County from the “red tier” under the governor’s color-coded coronavirus regulatory
system back to the more restrictive “purple tier,” meaning some businesses that had reopened in recent weeks were required to close such as gyms, restaurants, movie theaters and places of worship.
County officials have been urging residents, including those not experiencing symptoms, to get tested in order to boost the county’s testing numbers. Appointments for the Coachella testing event can be made for various time slots between 10 a.m. and 4:00p.m. by calling 844-660-9086 or at https://forms.gle/55ZDtr2CSJShGu6T7.
The Bagdouma Park is located at 51711 Douma St, Coachella, CA 92236.
