The City of La Quinta is pleased to announce that starting in October 2017 all development related planning, public works and building applications, as well as related processing procedures will now be made available online. The City of La Quinta is the first city in the Coachella Valley to offer these special and unique on-line digital services.
“>What does this mean for those seeking permits?
All development related permit applications can be submitted via the City’s public web portal,” said Tommi Sanchez, Permit Operations Supervisor City of La Quinta.
“Over the counter submittals can be entered electronical via thumb drive. In addition, design professionals are asked to complete electronic signature requirements. Those who are not design professionals will be required to use additional digital signatures. The whole process is easy, efficient, and customer friendly. So forget about bringing those heavy plans, bring a thumb drive in hand and you are ready to go.”
Additional permits available digitally online include: garage sales, pool-drain, and golf cart permits.

Business licenses are not offered at this time for online application, however, will be soon available in 2018. Business license applications can be obtained by visiting in La Quinta City Hall’s walk-in HUB located at 78495 Calle Tampico in La Quinta.
The HUB, a first class customer service center, is a one-stop-shop convenient center for procurement of all permits including business licenses. No one has to go from department to department any more for their various permit needs anymore. Check in at the concierge and instantly receive a warm welcome in five-star surroundings equipped with comfortable, plush chairs and refreshments.
