The City of La Quinta will host two virtual tours of the 9/11 Memorial located in New York City on Monday, September 7 and Thursday, September 10 at 9:00 am PST. The free 45-minute guided tour conducted in real time using Zoom will be available on a first-come, first-serve basis and limited to the first 100 people per event date. The tour will be guided by two 9/11 Memorial staff members that will also be taking questions from the participants as well as giving the tour live. Memorial staff will highlight the significance of the memorial pools and discuss the design and creation of the memorial. Additionally, Memorial staff will also touch on the events that happened on 9/11 including how people responded in the aftermath of the attacks. The event is meant to be educational, but also as an opportunity for reflection and remembrance.
