The Coachella Valley Public Cemetery District (CVPCD) is seeking proposals for the design and build of a new website. The CVPCD will open the competitive bid process on June 24, 2021.
The CVPCD is looking for qualified firms that can assist the CVPCD with developing a website that can serve the needs of District residents with professional style, function, and content. The ideal firm will have an established track record of building websites for public agencies, delivering highly skilled service within agreed upon budget. The project will include close collaboration with CVPCD leadership and staff, with a strong focus on meeting the needs of District residents.
Responses to this RFP will be accepted beginning June 24th, 2021. All responses must be submitted on or before July 2, 2021 at 5:00 pm. Vendors replying to this RFP will be asked to organize and itemize their submissions into five main areas for consideration:
Scope of design services offered.
Examples of previous designs.
Proposed content management system (CMS) software.
Available hosting options.
Training options.

The Coachella Valley Public Cemetery District was formed in 1927. District boundaries include approximately 3,444 square miles, one of the largest cemetery districts in California. The CVPCD has performed over 21,000 interments and has set over 18,000 grave markers. The Coachella Valley Cemetery is one of over 265 public cemetery districts in California which are supported, in part, by property taxes and one of many types of special districts in California.
