News from: OneFuture Coachella Valley
OneFuture Coachella Valley’s DHS Family Alliance A-Team (DHS A-Team) has launched a special campaign for the coming five weeks (through June 5) to encourage DHS middle and high school students to focus on school and “glow up” their grades.
The #DHSGradeGlowUp campaign is being promoted across the community via social media and direct outreach. All students from Desert Springs Middle School, Painted Hills Middle School, Edward Wenzlaff Education Center and Desert Hot Springs High School who participate by posting pictures of their work with the #DHSGradeGlowUp hashtag will be entered into weekly prize drawings. Prizes will be awarded to five (5) students from each school every week through June 5.
Prize donations are needed and appreciated. Cash donations for purchase of online gift cards and other students incentives can be made through OneFuture Coachella Valley (www.onefuturecv.org) and directed to #DHSGradeGlowUp. OneFuture is a 501 (c) 3 non-profit and donations are tax deductible.
Students have a unique opportunity to raise their grades before the end of the school year. All work completed before June 5 will count to raise final grades from their third quarter results.
The DHS A-Team is inviting the community and local businesses to participate by posting signs promoting the campaign, posting notes of encouragement on social media with the #DHSGradeGlowUp hashtag and donating incentive prizes for the winners.
The DHS Family Alliance A-Team includes business, non-profit, education and civic leaders who are collaborating to improve success and economic opportunity for K-12 students in the City of Desert Hot Springs.
