Old Town, New Experiences!

Old Town La Quinta is introducing First Thursdays as a new event series this season. As the name suggests, these events are on the first Thursday of every month from November 2nd – May 3rd, 5-8 p.m. They’re all about bringing people together at La Quinta’s uniquely charming Main Street.

First Thursdays will feature live music outdoors. Al fresco dining or enjoying a craft beer or wine at The Old Town Taproom or The Wine Emporium patios will offer great seating for listening to some of the desert’s best musicians and entertainers. The season’s lineup includes the very popular Tony and Cynthia Appolito and Barry Minniefield from The Voice as well as other guest artists.
Old Town shops will be open and the ambiance will be festive as shop owners offer free refreshments and an array of interesting experiences. La Quinta Olive Oil Company offers a selection of 70 olive oil and balsamic vinegar flavors and carries oils from Greece, Spain, California, Italy and Chile and balsamics from Modena, Italy. Expand your knowledge and your palate at a hosted olive oil tasting. Try a wine tasting at The Wine Emporium. Or join their Wine Club to become a connoisseur and collector of reasonable wines at great values. Fashion boutiques, salons and art galleries will offer more to explore.

So many residents and visitors look forward to Art on Main Street, The Farmers’ Markets on Sundays and other outdoor events at Old Town. First Thursdays are a response to the interest expressed by residents and visitors for experiences that entertain and bring people together. See you there!
