Indio, CA: Former Indio Chamber of Commerce and GCVCC Ambassador Merritt Wiseman has passed away, as reported by family to the chamber on Tuesday evening.  Merritt was an active member of the chamber of commerce in Indio, including service on the Board of Directors.  He continued to stay active with the Greater Coachella Valley Chamber of Commerce in recent years.

Merritt was a past Chairman of the Indio Chamber and was honored for his commitment to the business community at the 2016 GCVCC Installation Dinner and Awards Ceremony with our Ambassador of the Year honor.  Merritt was also a proud member of the Indio Sunrise Rotary.

“Merritt Wiseman was one of the finest individuals I had the privilege of knowing in my time with the chamber,” said Chamber President and CEO Joshua Bonner. “His dedication to his community and the chamber was unmatched, and stretched across a lifetime of service to the local business community and community at large.  He will be greatly missed by the many people who were privileged to know him and experience his giving spirit.”

Service arrangements have not yet been announced by the family.
