Palm Desert, CA – Tickets to the upcoming Gala de Mariachi will be available to pick up on Saturday, October 5, free of charge.
Admission to the mariachi performance is free, but tickets are required to get in. The tickets will be offered between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. Saturday at the McCallum Theatre box office. Tickets are limited to four per person and will be distributed on a first-come first-served basis. It is recommended to arrive early.
The McCallum Theatre is located in Palm Desert, 73-000 Fred Waring Dr.
The first-ever Gala de Mariachi, presented by Supervisor V. Manuel Perez, will take place at the McCallum Theatre at 7 p.m. Saturday, October 19. The performance features Mariachi Sol de México and Mariachi Los Camperos de Nati Cano, playing in ensemble with the Desert Symphony orchestra.
“We are looking forward to experiencing two of the best mariachi groups in the world performing with our local orchestra,” said Supervisor Perez. “This special community event is free! Get your tickets on Saturday so you can join us for this unforgettable celebration of talent, spirit, culture and tradition.”
The evening celebration of mariachi is part of binational and cultural exchange efforts between the County of Riverside and the City of Guadalajara, Jalisco, Mexico. Supervisor Perez worked with the Guadalajara Chamber of Commerce and the Riverside County Economic Development Agency’s Office of Foreign Trade to bring an event based on the International Mariachi Festival to Riverside County.
