GCVCC Receiving Updates on Coronavirus from Whitehouse, United States Chamber

News from the GCVCC:  Greater Coachella Valley Chamber of Commerce President and CEO Joshua Bonner participated in a conference call with both the Whitehouse and the United States Chamber of Commerce on Monday, as the Chamber continues to monitor the COVID-19 situation for information our members require.

“The Chamber will continue to share information pertinent to commerce on the Coronavirus as it becomes available to us,” says Bonner. “At this time, the Administration and the CDC continue to state that the immediate health risk from COVID-19 is considered low.  We are strongly encouraging our members to utilize the U.S. Chamber’s Combating the Coronavirus resource page, which includes resources and guidelines for businesses.  You can also receive the latest information and updates from the Center for Disease Control on their Situation Summary page.”

On Monday, the United States Chamber of Commerce hosted a Coronavirus economic impact call, followed by a call with the White House. This call included updates from senior White House officials, as well as officials from the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, and additional federal agencies.

The GCVCC expects these updates to be ongoing for as long as the situation warrants.
