Coachella Valley, CA: The Greater Coachella Valley Chamber of Commerce was recognized for outstanding leadership on Small Business Saturday. The GCVCC participated in this years Small Business Saturday with a valley-wide business expo, as well as a public awareness campaign to encourage residents to shop local.
The GCVCC hosted an all valley business expo at the Fantasy Springs Resort Casino Convention Center that attracted over a thousand residents and business professionals from around the valley. More than 140 local businesses were on exhibit in support of the program. Katie Stice, GCVCC Vice President of Core Services and the event producer was thrilled with the event outcome. “There was great energy around this year’s event, our local business owners and members of the community were so supportive during the entire week. We are already planning next years event on November 15th, 2018.”
The Chamber also launched a public awareness campaign encouraging residents to shop local. The one-minute video can be viewed HERE.
Small Business Saturday is annually sponsored by American Express and supported by the efforts of community partners across the United States. To support local business that make communities strong, American Express launched Small Business Saturday on the Saturday after Thanksgiving — hoping to help bring more holiday shopping to small businesses. The Greater Coachella Valley Chamber of Commerce is an official partner of the event and designated “Neighborhood Champion”.
