News from the GCVCC
Coachella, CA: The Greater Coachella valley Chamber of Commerce is proud to announce it has welcomed it’s third tribal nation as an officially chartered partner. The Augustine Band of Cahuilla Indians will assume a seat on the GCVCC governing board beginning June 1st, 2021.
“The GCVCC’s relationship with our local tribal partners is unique, as their seats are assigned in perpetuity, along with the seats that represent our local city chambers, ” says Joshua Bonner, President and CEO. “We value our local tribal nations, and consider them full partners in this chamber.”
The Augustine Band of Cahuilla Indians will join the Cabazon Band of Mission Indians and Twenty-Nine Palms Band of Mission Indians as official chamber partners.
“We are excited to partner with the GCVCC as a charter member and share the rich history of the Augustine Band of Cahuilla Indians, “said Amanda Vance, tribal chairperson. “Giving back to our community and contributing to its economic well-being is inherent to our mission.”
Victoria Martin, Tribal Secretary, will assume the GCVCC Board seat.
