GCVCC WORKING WITH CITY OF INDIO TO CREATE COMMUNITY RESOURCE CENTER

News from the Greater Coachella Valley Chamber of Commerce

UPDATE: The GCVCC is now working with the city’s of La Quinta, Indian Wells, Coachella, Cathedral City and Desert Hot Springs to extend service throughout valley.

The Indio Visitor Center, staffed by the Indio Chamber of Commerce, is extending its operational scope to assist local residents and businesses with general questions during the current state of emergency for our area.  Staff will be equipped to direct callers to the agencies and community support services they require, based on need.  This will include assistance for small business owners, the recently unemployed, and general assistance related questions.

The office will be available to answer resident calls Monday through Friday, 9AM to 4PM.  You can also reach them by email at [email protected].

“The Indio Chamber of Commerce and Visitor Center answers questions from visitors and seasonal guests on a regular basis,” says Joshua Bonner, President and CEO of the Chamber.  “This is a natural extension of those services for us, now we are offering to do it for our local community.  We may not be able to answer every question, but we will do our best to direct our residents to the services and support they need during this time of crises.”

The following notice is going out to all residents and business owners inside of Indio.
