News from Desert Sands Educational Foundation:

Put On Your Hiking Boots and get ready for Desert Sands Educational Foundation’s 4th Annual Hike 4 Education, and generate funds for our schools. $35 per hiker/$15 students/seniors. Early bird discount available.

Register at www.Hike4Education.com for a five mile hike on the Cove Trail, a three mile around Lake Cahuilla, and two mile nature walk led by Indio High School students.

The Hike 4 Education is a community event with a large portion of the fees going directly to the specified organization or to the foundation for use with the offering of mini-grants.

The five mile hike begins at 8:00am with staggered starting times for the other hikes. On hand will be booths and fun activities. Participants receive goodie-bags and event t-shirts.

Parking inside the Lake Cahuilla Recreational Park is included.
