Rotary has always been committed to education. The Indio Rotary, in particular, presents a number of programs each year centered on helping our next generation succeed. Each fall, Indio Third Graders receive a brand new dictionary to expand their literary horizons. Each school year, elementary school bus trips are sponsored for students to learn about our community at the Coachella Valley Museum and Cultural Center. Each Spring for the last 24 years, the Indio Rotary hosts the Coachella Valley Math Field Day for Middle School Students
highlighting the importance of their mathematics education. And, each school year, a Rotary Interact Club is sponsored at Shadow Hills High School.
The Indio Rotary Club is a service club that since 1949 has been working to help make Indio and the world a better place. Our group of civic leaders share their time and energy to support our community. We meet weekly to network, hear speakers on various subjects and work on service projects. We meet Tuesdays at Noon in the Special Events Center at Fantasy Springs Resort Casino. Our club is always open to new members who would like to participate in the activities.
