Indio State of the City Excites Sold Out Audience

Indio, CA: The Indio State of the City played to a sold out house at the Fantasy Springs Special Event Center this week.  Hosted annually by the Greater Coachella Valley Chamber of Commerce in partnership with the GCV Indio Chamber, and the City of Indio, the event highlights significant progress and future growth for the city’s economy.  This year over 300 were in attendance to celebrate new developments throughout the city.

Mayor Elaine Holmes chose as her theme “Right Here, Right Now” for this years event.  She felt it was symbolic of everything happening in Indio.  “Indio is a city on the move,” she said in her speech, “this is where you want to be to live, to do business, or to visit.”

Among the more exciting developments is a new Loma Linda Children’s Hospital coming to downtown Indio that will provide needed services to valley youth.  The City also announced the Tachevah Music Festival, previously held in Palm Springs, would also be coming to Indio in 2018.
