Jan Ligman joins the Coachella Valley Chamber of Commerce as a Local Coordinator for CIEE, the Council on International Educational Exchange. For over 70 years CIEE has been a leader in international education and operates a broad profile of programs, from college study abroad to work and travel programs in the US to inbound high school programs. As a Local Coordinator for CIEE Jan works with international high school students who have chosen to attend Coachella Valley area schools to achieve their educational goals. She places students with families who host them through the academic year, carefully matching students and families based on shared interests and values. Throughout the year Jan works with the students and their families to ensure a fulfilling and successful year. In her professional life outside of CIEE, Jan is a teacher at Palm Springs Unified School District and earned her Master’s in Education from Chapman University in 2006.
