Incoming Chair to replace Ernesto Rosales in 2017-2018
The Greater Coachella Valley Chamber of Commerce (GCVCC) has named Jill Tremblay as the Chairman of the Board for the remainder of the 2017-2018 business year. Ms. Tremblay was previously the Chamber’s Incoming Chair, and will now take the place of Ernesto Rosales. Mr. Rosales stepped down from his current role due to personal health reasons, but will retain his position on the GCVCC Board of Directors.
“It’s an honor and a privilege to lead the Greater Coachella Valley Chamber of Commerce in its second year,” said Ms. Tremblay. “I wish the circumstances of this transition were different, but at the request of my colleague, I am more than appreciative to help in any way that I can. I believe this will be a great year for the Chamber and I am pleased to continue our momentum in year two.”
Mr. Rosales stepped back from his role as Chairman of the Board while he continues to recover from a serious health issue. “This was the right thing to do for our organization,” said Mr. Rosales. “I continue to work with my medical team on a full recovery from my recent health issue, and every day I get stronger. But in the interim, the GCVCC needed a Chairman that could commit the time and energy necessary to guide a fast-moving organization. My friend Jill Tremblay is the right person for that job. She has my full support in her new role. I know she will do a great service to our organization. I look forward to actively participating in the GCVCC Board soon and leading this organization forward into the future.”
The official designation of Jill Tremblay as the second Chairman of the Board of Directors of the GCVCC came at a scheduled meeting of the Board on Friday, August 11th, 2017. The change was adopted unanimously and without dissent. Ms. Tremblay is an attorney with the law firm, Best, Best & Krieger LLP, located in Indian Wells, California. She has served on the Executive Committee of the GCVCC Board of Directors since its founding in 2016. She previously was a Board Member of the Indio Chamber of Commerce, having served as Chairman of the Board for that organization during the 2014-2015 fiscal year.
