Local Business Lenders Host Financing Panel on Sept. 28

Community lending organizations will gather at the UCR – Palm Desert campus on Thursday, Sept. 28, from 8:30 to 10:30 a.m. to discuss financing options for small business owners. Hosted by California Bank & Trust and Accion, this event features a panel-style discussion on how qualify for small business financing.

“Small business owners will be able to connect with local lenders one-on-one at this informative event,” said Accion’s Chief Strategy Officer Valery Belloso. “There are a variety of different products for entrepreneurs to choose from when they are looking for business financing and this event will give business owners a chance to see which loan program best fits their needs.”
Attendees at this event will learn about business support programs are available at no cost in Coachella Valley, how to get funding for a start-up business, and what qualifications are needed for a bank loan, among other financing-related topics.

The panel will be moderated by California Bank & Trust’s Vice President of Community Reinvestment Lisa Brooks and will include a question-and-answer portion. Participating organizations include Accion, California Bank & Trust, CDC Small Business Finance and the Small Business Administration.
