Last Wednesday, July 20^th, our GCV Evening Mixer welcomed more than 80 attendees to the Mary Pickford Theater in Cathedral City for a fun night that began with pizza, nachos and popcorn plus discounted beer and wine.

Our gracious host was Damon Rubio, the president of Mary Pickford is D’Place. Attendees had the opportunity to experience the unique brand of theaters offered by D’Place Entertainment, including amenities not found at other theaters such as stone-fired pizzas, homemade ice cream, specialty popcorns and more.

Guests were able to kick back in the luxury recliners of Theater 10 while Rubio shared about new services along with the auditorium and lobby space that is available for private parties as well as fundraising and business events.

The emcee for the evening was Stephen Burchard – who is a realtor with Platinum Star Properties and serves as a board member for the Greater Coachella Valley Chamber Regional Board of Directors.

Exhibitors included Janie Castillo with CFLC Sheltering Palms Foster Family Agency and Robert Fuentes with GunnyP Fitness.

Raffle items included a 32” TV donated by Rafael Oscal with the Guatemala Chamber of Commerce (won by Kevin Ford with Healthcare Strategy & IT) and a 2-night stay including breakfast at the Hilton Garden Inn donated by Andrea Chavez at Hilton Garden Inn (won by Eileen Diaz with Cameo Palms).

This mixer had one of the highest attendances we’ve seen, and it was wonderful to see so many join us for this special evening.
