Andrew McDuffie, Assistant Vice President of FirstBank and a member of the Executive Board for the Greater Coachella Valley Chamber, kicked off the event by thanking Six Blades Jiu Jitsu owner – Chris Hargett – and his team for hosting. He also recognized TKB Bakery & Deli and Signature Party Rentals for sponsoring the mixer.
Chris Hargett has dedicated over 14 years to Jiu Jitsu. His studio has been open for over 5 years and has 200+ students who are taught techniques by world class competitors and instructors. He provided guests with a private demonstration of jiu jitsu techniques, inviting his clients up to showcase a quick competitive tournament. Chris also encouraged attendees to help support his program and partnership with the CFLC Sheltering Palms Foster Family Agency by sponsoring a child for an opportunity to learn jiu jitsu techniques and build confidence. For more information, contact Chris Hargett at [email protected] or call (760) 239-7589.
Exhibitors were CFLC Sheltering Palms Family Agency and Art Flying Aerial Yoga. Raffle prizes included one month of jiu jitsu donated by Six Blades Jiu Jitsu (2 certificates), and a $100 gift card to Pueblo Viejo Grill.
Raffle winners were Janie Castillo with CFLC Sheltering Palms and Hernan Quintas with HQ Strategies Group. Elle Tobias, a sales and leasing representative with Palm Springs Motors, gave away shopping bags and baseball hats to attendees.
Andrew McDuffie provided closing remarks by inviting Dr. Carl Christman, guest speaker for the upcoming GCV Educates workshop, to share more information about the interactive workshop. He shared that his presentation will be focused on how to read minds and influence people. To attend the next GCVCC event, visit gcvcc.org/events.
