Notice of Commission Vacancies

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the City of Desert Hot Springs encourages residents to apply for positions on City Commissions that will have vacancies in January 2018.

Following is a complete list of Commissions and vacancies. For information and descriptions of each Commission, please refer to the City’s website at www.cityofdhs.org.
Commission Vacancies Planning Commission Meets on the 2nd Tuesday of each month at 6:00 P.M. 5 Community and Cultural Affairs Commission (CCAC) Meets on the 2nd Wednesday of each month at 6:00 P.M. 5 Public Safety Commission Meets on the 2nd Thursday of each month at 6:00 P.M. 5

Requirements: You must be a resident and registered voter of the City of Desert Hot Springs to serve on a Commission (DHSMC 2.24.040).

Compensation: Each member of a City Commission shall receive compensation in the amount of $50.00 per meeting (DHSMC 2.40).

Appointments – Terms: The Mayor and each City Councilmember shall appoint one member to each Commission, subject to ratification by a majority of the City Council.
Each member of a City Commission is appointed for a two-year term commencing at the February meeting of the year of appointment.
