City Council extends eviction moratorium for commercial tenant properties to April 28, 2021
Palm Springs, CA: With many commercial property tenants continuing to struggle with the economic impacts of COVID-19, the City Council unanimously voted at its last meeting to extend the City’s eviction moratorium for commercial tenancies to April 28, 2021.
Commercial rent deferral is allowed under the following circumstances:
· The commercial tenant is unable to pay all or a portion of rent due to COVID-19 related reasons.
· The commercial tenant notifies the landlord within seven days after rent is due.
· The commercial tenant provides the landlord a reason related to COVID-19 and (if requested) provides documentation supporting that reason.
Commercial tenants will not have to pay back deferred rent during this 30 day period. For more information, visit palmspringsca.gov.
