VICKY’S OF SANTA FE HOSTS 3rd ANNUAL RED CARPET OSCAR PARTY BENEFITING VARIETY-THE CHILDREN’S CHARITY OF THE DESERT ON SUNDAY, FEBRUARY 26th, 2017
Vicky’s of Santa Fe, located on the corner of Highway 111 & Club Drive in Indian Wells will host the 3rd Annual Red Carpet Oscar Party on Sunday, February 26th, 2017 to benefit Variety-the Children’s Charity of the Desert. Red Carpet Arrivals and Cocktails are 4:00pm and the Oscar Awards Viewing Party & Dinner starting at 5:00pm. Individual tickets are $100 including tax & tip. This event is open to the public with pre-paid reservations. Tickets may be purchased by calling 760-345-9770.
Variety has its roots in the entertainment industry, initially founded by a group of movie theatre owners when left to care for the upbringing of an abandoned child. Marc Lodovico, Variety Board Member and General Manager of Vicky’s of Santa Fe, said, “We’re excited for this party, it’s a glamorous evening that celebrates Hollywood’s biggest night. This evening is an exciting opportunity to give, as 100% of the net sales proceeds will be donated to benefit Variety-the Children’s Charity of the Desert. Our guests can further the good work that Variety does every day for children in need, here in our Valley, just by joining us tonight.”
Attendees will begin the night with a walk down the red carpet, strike a pose at the Stand & Repeat for a take home photo, and enjoy complimentary drinks from Crater Lake Vodka and Classic Wines of California, passed hors d’oeuvres and a gourmet dinner buffet, while watching the awards live telecast on the big screens. Guests can also cast their votes of who they think the night’s winners will be in a play along ballot contest, and everyone wins with a take home gift bag. There will be a special live music surprise guest performer.

Since 1987, Variety –the Children’s Charity of the Desert has donated over forty 12-passenger Ford vans to Angel View, Boys & Girls Clubs and Family YMCA of the Desert. The vans provide transportation for disadvantaged children to and from school and sports programs and for children undergoing cancer treatment at Loma Linda University Medical Center. Over 5,000 bikes have been presented to Coachella Valley children, including specially adapted mobility bikes for kids with mental and physical disabilities.
