Revolution Stage Company proudly kicks off its highly anticipated 2024-2025 season with the timeless Broadway musical I Do! I Do!, running for only seven performances from October 16 to October 27.  This intimate and heartwarming production takes audiences on a reflective journey through forty years of love, marriage, and everything in between, offering a delightful and moving exploration of one couple’s life together.

Originally written by the iconic team of Tom Jones (book and lyrics) and Harvey Schmidt (music), the creators of The Fantasticks, I Do! I Do! is based on the play The Fourposter by Jan de Hartog. The show’s two-person cast tells the story of Michael and Agnes, following them from their wedding day through the joys, challenges and quarrels of marriage.

With a heartfelt score which includes the memorable “My Cup Runneth Over,” I Do! I Do! brings to life the universal experiences of commitment, love and perseverance which defines long-term relationships. The show’s intimacy and emotional depth make it an audience favorite, and Revolution Stage Company is thrilled to present this classic to the Palm Springs community.

Acclaimed cabaret performer, Francesca Amari, makes her RSC stage debut as ‘Agnes’ while RSC co-founder Gary Powers plays ‘Michael.’  I Do! I Do! Is staged by the acclaimed director, Roger Welch, a Coachella Valley newcomer.  For twenty years, Mr. Welch was Producing Artistic Director of the Coeur d’Alene Summer Theatre in Idaho.
