St. Andrew Ribbon Cutting Press Release

News from St. Andrew Community Presbyterian Church:

St. Andrew Community Presbyterian Church, Rev. Julie Hodges, Pastor, will celebrate its 115-year presence in the Coachella Valley at a Greater Coachella Valley Chamber of Commerce ribbon-cutting event Monday, April 23, at 4 p.m.at the church, 47-192 Monroe St., Indio (across the street from John F. Kennedy Memorial Hospital).

In addition to celebrating St. Andrew’s historic milestone, the event’s focus will be the church’s commitment to renewing its relationship with the community. St. Andrew Church is encouraging the community to “Rediscover Your Faith With Us.”

As it looks to its future, the St. Andrew congregation continues to explore ways to reach out to the community and serve its neighbors. Recent activities have included two outdoor services and picnics in Dr. Carreon Park to which neighbors were invited, a prayer booth at the Indio Tamale Festival, a week-long free Vacation Bible School each June, a volunteer reading program at neighboring Dr. Carreon Academy and monthly donations of food, clothing and other items as well as scheduling volunteer days with several valley charitable agencies.

St. Andrew Community Presbyterian Church has a long heritage of serving Jesus Christ in the Coachella Valley, beginning in 1902. We are the oldest, continuously – worshipping community and we seek to share God’s love with our neighbors and the world.

Come Rediscover Your Faith, With Us.
