News from: The City of La Quinta
The City of La Quinta will hold it’s annual Community Workshop virtually on Saturday, January 16, 2021. This event is an opportunity for residents of La Quinta to review City projects from the previous year, as well as listen and vote for projects they feel are a priority for 2021/22. City Council and staff will be presenting and available for public comment and input during the workshop.
Past years, this event has been well attended and projects identified as a priority for the City included: the restroom at the Top of the Cove, Highway 111 Corridor Plan Implementation, the Cultural Campus at SilverRock, and more. Residents have the ability to listen, discuss and vote on what they feel is a priority for the City. Identifying these projects give City staff the direction to move forward with implementation and completion of these projects.
“The Community Workshop is a great way for our residents to get involved and be heard. Every year we listen to our residents tell us what is important to them and what they think the City needs. We are always surprised at the write in projects from this group that tend to pull large voting numbers and then become one of the top priorities for us here at the City.” – Gil Villalpando, Assistant to the City Manager
Residents of La Quinta are highly encouraged to participate in this virtual event. Registration is required by visiting www.laquintaca.gov/communityworkshop. The event will take place on Saturday, January 16, 2021 from 9 AM – 12 Noon via Zoom.
