The Greater Coachella Valley Chamber of Commerce (GCVCC) sadly says goodbye to our Senior Director of Operations, Diana Soto – who has served the Chamber in a variety of roles for more than a decade. She has accepted a new job opportunity near her home in Arizona, and will be continuing her career as an Economic Development Specialist for the City of Prescott Valley.
During her tenure, Diana was the Events Director and also stepped up to the helm as Interim CEO twice. Diana’s leadership has put the Chamber in a solid position, and she will continue to find ways to stay involved and help through the transition. The GCVCC, as a whole, is deeply appreciative of the amazing work she has done for the organization and local businesses over the years. Her legacy and impact on our community will live on through her extensive efforts on behalf of the GCVCC.
Diana shared the following sentiments upon the announcement of her departure: “Work doesn’t feel like work when you love what you do every day. Thank you, GCVCC, and our business community, for the countless opportunities to achieve collaborative growth. This organization is doing excellent work, and I am proud of what we’ve accomplished together. It is nothing less than an honor to have been a team member among this group of exceptional professionals. You will always have a special place in my heart.”
“Diana’s commitment and love for the Chamber, and for our communities, is unparalleled,” said GCVCC Immediate Past Chair, Richard Ramhoff. “Twice she has stepped up to lead the Chamber through transitional times. We could not have done it without her. We will miss her as she moves on to a new position in a new city. Thank you, Diana for all you have done!”
“I’ve been so fortunate to work with Diana in multiple different roles during my years of service to the GCVCC, and she has always been a great coworker, leader and friend to me,” said GCVCC President and CEO, Brandon Marley. “I cannot begin to articulate my gratitude towards what she means to me, both personally and professionally. I thank Diana for helping to put us in a great spot to move forward.”
“Diana has been an instrumental part of the Chamber’s success. Her years of dedication and service to the business community in the Coachella Valley is commendable,” said GCVCC Board Chair, Andrew McDuffie. “During my time with the Chamber, I’ve had the honor of working very closely with Diana as interim CEO. Her passion is always evident and propelled us forward despite the many challenges. Her work at the Greater Coachella Valley Chamber of Commerce will be seen for many years to come. We are excited for this new chapter in her life and wish her all the best!”
