The holiday season is here, and the spotlight shifts to Indio’s Tree Lighting Ceremony on December 1, 2023. The much-anticipated celebration is set to start at 5 p.m. in Downtown Indio at the corner of Towne Street and Bliss Avenue and promises to be a magical evening for residents of all ages.
The festivities begin with the magnificent tree lighting, including musical performances from local schools and a special performance from Desert Carolers. Santa will make a special appearance for children and families to capture memories with and new this year to add an extra touch of holiday magic, a snow scene will allow attendees to experience the holiday season in a unique way. The excitement continues at Food Truck Fridays with live music, tasty bites from local vendors, and exciting activities, including a toy giveaway for the first 100 kids and classic car show.
“We invite the community to join us in making memories, spreading joy, and embracing the holiday spirit as we welcome the holiday season,” said Mayor Oscar Ortiz. “This is an important time for us to come together and celebrate with the ones we love most and create new memories with our friends and family.”
Seating for 100 people will be available in front of the stage. Attendees are encouraged to plan accordingly and bring blankets and chairs for additional seating. Food Truck Fridays will continue until 10 p.m.
