The Family YMCA of the Desert, in partnership with the City of Palm Desert, is planning its 4th Annual Y Be Fit Palm Desert Challenge. The date is set for Sunday, October 1, 2017 for this community event consisting of three main events: Reverse Triathlon, solo or team (5K run, 10-mile bike and 300-meter swim), 5K Run/Walk and a 1K Color Run.

Last year’s Y Be Fit PD Challenge surpassed our expectations. We had an incredible response from the community with over 900 participants, 32 booth vendors and 28 sponsors. Family members and friends who came to support their participant(s) enjoyed a day of fitness and fun surrounded by music, activities, sponsor booths and the beautiful scenery of the Palm Desert Civic Center Park and Palm Desert Aquatic Center.

We would like to invite you, your business and colleagues, and your fitness enthusiast friends to participate in what we expect to be another great day of fitness and community fun. As a sponsor you will receive recognition of your support via the Y Be Fit website and Facebook page, on printed materials and your logo will be placed on the participants’ shirts as well as on location the day of the event. In addition, a credit of 20% of your sponsorship fee may be used towards entry fees for your employees and family members who participate in any of the three events, including the Reverse Tri (team or solo). Booth vendors will have the opportunity to showcase their business or the mission of their organization to over 1,000 participants and spectators. Y Be Fit Palm Desert Challenge is a community event made possible by businesses, residents and volunteers with proceeds benefitting local YMCA programs and providing financial aid to children and their families at the Family YMCA of the Desert. The Y provides activities and childcare for over 3,800 kids every day in 41 sites located in the Coachella Valley.
