The City of Indio is excited to announce an unveiling ceremony for “Happy Alley,” located on Miles Avenue between Towne Street and Oasis Street in Downtown Indio. This transformative project promises to captivate visitors with its multifaceted artistic features.

Draped overhead, a canopy of colored umbrellas add vibrancy to the north side of the alley. Down below, color continues down to the walls of the alley and a custom mural completes the north side, featuring iconic imagery of palm trees, a Ferris wheel, a classic car, and a hot air balloon.

Across Miles Avenue, “Happy Alley” continues to the south side featuring Indio’s latest mural, entitled Practical Galactical, which will catch spectators’ attention day and night. This mural is one of the city’s only murals that incorporates black light elements, creating a unique and captivating effect after dark.
