Concert to be Held Saturday, September 14, 2024, from 7-10 p.m. in Downtown Indio
The City of Indio is excited to announce a special celebration to kick off Hispanic Heritage Month at the city’s popular Second Saturdays concert series on September 14, 2024. This free, family-friendly event promises an evening of vibrant music, cultural performances, and community fun in the heart of Downtown Indio.
The festivities begin at 7 p.m. with an enchanting ballet folklórico performance by Ballet Folklorico Sol Del Desierto, showcasing traditional Mexican dance and colorful costumes that reflect the rich heritage of the region. The evening continues with a live performance by TABU, a high-energy band known for its infectious rhythms and dynamic stage presence. Get ready to dance the night away as TABU brings the sounds of Latin music to Center Stage!
“We are thrilled to kick off Hispanic Heritage Month with this special Second Saturdays event,” said Mayor Lupe Ramos Amith. “This celebration is a wonderful opportunity for our community to come together, enjoy live music and cultural performances, and honor the traditions that make Indio such a vibrant and diverse city.”
In addition to the music and dance, the first 100 people will receive a free Indio Lotería set available while supplies last.
