News from: Coachella Valley Public Cemetery District
The Coachella Valley Public Cemetery District (CVPCD) is inviting members of the public to review and comment on its newly proposed 10-Year Cemetery Master Plan, a forward-looking document designed to guide the District’s development, service delivery, and long-term sustainability.
The Master Plan outlines strategies for addressing burial capacity, infrastructure needs, community services, and financial stability. It is the result of a year-long planning process that incorporated operational analysis, consultant recommendations, and early stakeholder input.
“This plan represents a thoughtful roadmap for the future of the cemetery,” said Board Chair, Ernesto Rosales. “Now we want to hear from the community we serve. Public feedback is a critical part of shaping the final version.”
The public comment period is open through May 1, 2025. The draft plan can be viewed on the Districts homepage at CVPCD.org, or by clicking the link below.
