News from the GCVCC Business Legislative Advocacy Committee

In 2019, the Governor’s Office of Business and Economic Development (GO-Biz) launched a Regions Rise Together initiative to encourage local government, private businesses, nonprofits, equity groups, and philanthropy to work together to identify regional priorities that address shared prosperity through renewed focus and cross-sector partnerships. California’s inequality has only worsened during the COVID-19 pandemic. AB 106 creates a framework to advance the mission of GO-Biz by creating an avenue to work with regions to address the growing inequality and challenges to upward mobility that exists across the state.
