Inaugural State of Education Forum Highlights Workforce Readiness Through Regional Collaboration

The Greater Coachella Valley Chamber of Commerce welcomed educators, business leaders, elected officials, workforce development partners, and community stakeholders to its inaugural State of Education Forum at Agua Caliente Resort Casino Spa Rancho Mirage. Presentations from Desert Sands Unified School District, Coachella Valley Unified School District, Palm Springs Unified School District, College of the Desert, and workforce development partners highlighted the programs, partnerships, and innovations connecting students with career pathways, industry certifications, and real-world experiences that are helping shape the future workforce of the Coachella Valley. Attendees also connected with education and workforce partners during the Workforce & Education Expo and networking session.

The Chamber extends its sincere appreciation to all participating speakers and partners, including Desert Sands Unified School District, Coachella Valley Unified School District, Palm Springs Unified School District, College of the Desert, OneFuture Coachella Valley, and the many educators, administrators, and workforce leaders who contributed to the discussion and helped make the event a success. We would also like to apologize to Palm Springs Unified School District for a seating mix-up during the event. While our intention was for all participating districts to be seated together at the front of the room, an error prevented that arrangement. We greatly value PSUSD’s partnership and look forward to continuing to showcase the incredible students they are preparing for the future workforce.
