Latin singer-songwriter Luis R. Conriquez is heading to the Special Events Center at Fantasy Springs Resort Casino at 8 p.m. on Friday, May 27 along with special guests La Original Banda El Limón for a night of incredible music. Known for writing and performing modern-day corridos and collaborating with various bandas, Luis R. Conriquez recorded more than 100 songs between 2018 and 2021, spanning over ten albums and a dozen singles. His debut album, “Mis Incios” featured the songs “Mi Apodo El 50,” “Mi Clave El Sobrino and “Los Bullz De La Angelina.”

In 2019 he issued three albums and in 2020, he introduced modern production stylings on “No Paramos de Chambear,” with slick horn charts on songs such as “Andamos Tumbadones” and unusual guitar tunings on the bluesy “El 26.” He followed it with a 35-song retrospective of studio and live tracks titled “Corridos 2019.”  His biggest single “El Buho” hit the top of the charts and the song’s video registered more than 50 million views.

Opening the show is one of the most revered groups in the world of banda music, La Original Banda El Limón. Formed in Sinaloa, Mexico in the 1960s by the late Don Salvador Lizárraga, La Original Banda El Limón creates songs with unique sounds that balance traditional Mexican styles of music with contemporary elements. The band is also one of the first banda groups to amplify and synthesize their sound.

As a testament to La Original Banda El Limón’s immense popularity, they have filled several venues with more than 100,000 fans in Mexico and the United States and have won several awards including Latin Grammys, ASCAP and BMI awards in addition to the Billboard Award for Excellence in Mexican Regional Music.

Through the decades, La Original Banda El Limón has released a mulititude of Gold and Double Platinum albums featuring numerous chart topping songs such as “Juan Martha,” “Derecho De Antiguedad,” “Sal de Mi Vida,”  “El Mejor Perfume” and many more.
