Temalpakh Farm’s Education Center will offer a full schedule of family-friendly activities, workshops and community events throughout August.

Free events include weekly storytelling sessions on Tuesdays, with sessions at 10 a.m. and 2 p.m.; a showing of WALL-E on August 6 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.; Flow Bombs and Bookmarks on August 13 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.; and Sand Painting on August 27 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Guests may drop in throughout the day for the August 13 and August 27 activities.

The Education Center will also host several ticketed workshops. Pressed Flower Framing will take place August 1 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. for $35 per person. Plant Bingo, presented with Friends of the Desert Mountains, is scheduled for August 8 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. and costs $50. A Flower Arrangements workshop with Florecitas de Mi Corazón will be held August 15 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. for $135 per person. The month concludes with a Custom Candle Making Class presented with Chicano Candle Co. on August 22 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. for $100 per person. Supplies and refreshments are included with the paid workshops.
