Walter Clark Legal Group Donates $64,500 in Backpacks and School Supplies to Five Southern California School Districts

As the increasing costs of consumer goods continue to impact family budgets, Walter Clark Legal Group is helping relieve the pressure for some families by giving $64,500 worth of new backpacks filled with school supplies to elementary students at 5 school districts in the Southern California communities it serves. The elementary school students selected to receive new backpacks and school supplies will get them at the start of the academic year. This donation is part of the personal injury law firm’s annual efforts to provide students with essential resources and equitable access to education.

“We are delighted that our donations have increased from $11,700 two years ago to $64,500 this year,” said Walter Clark, CEO & President of Walter Clark Legal Group. “It’s always touching and inspirational to see the faces of the students when they select their backpacks.”

Backpacks with school supplies will be distributed by school staff in August at various Back-to-School events. They include:

  • 700 backpacks to students at Cabot Yerxa Elementary School (Palm Springs Unified School District) at 8:20 a.m. on August 7, 2025, on the school’s campus located in Desert Hot Springs, CA
  • 410 backpacks to students at Kennedy Elementary School (Desert Sands Unified School District) during the Chalk the Walk Event on August 18, 2025,from 8 a.m. to 10 a.m. on the school’s campus in Indio, CA
  • 1,500 backpacks at Coachella Valley Unified School District’s Free Backpack Giveaway Drive-Thru Event on August 19, 2025, from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Desert Mirage High School at 86150 66th Avenue, Thermal, CA 92274
  • 1,400 backpacks to Victor Elementary School District in Victorville, whose staff is in contact with students’ families to ensure equal access to donations

An additional 410 backpacks are allocated to students at Lincoln Elementary School in El Centro, CA, whose administration is currently finalizing distribution plans.
